We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Molecular Pathologist to join our dynamic team as a consultant. The ideal candidate will have expertise in molecular diagnostics, a strong commitment to quality and innovation, and a passion for advancing personalized medicine

Responsibilities

  • Provide the clinical leadership, medical expertise, and urgency in fulfilling the Company’s mission to build a world-leading treatment decision support service for oncologists and the patients they serve
  • External-facing senior medical expert of the Company in meetings with regulatory agencies, payors and providers, advocacy groups, cancer centers, and other key stakeholders
  • Participate in The Perthera Report review, delivery, and sign-off
  • Support the growth of the medical team through input on required skills and experience and the evaluation of candidates.
  • Contribute to the definition of a Physician Engagement program. Define measurements, activities, and input to surveys
  • Lead and expand a medical team of experts who will participate in Perthera’s virtual Molecular Tumor Board
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team focused on answering key molecular questions

Qualifications

  • MD with a current medical license and board certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology, with board certification or eligibility in Molecular Genetic Pathology
  • Clinical experience with next-generation sequencing interpretation
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in oncology, cancer immunotherapy, medical immunology, and clinical research, preferred
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, reporting, and communication skills
  • Licensed to practice pathology in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligible for licensure
  • Proficient in molecular diagnostic techniques and interpretation

Requirements:

  • Medical License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. The company shall cover license-related expenses and provide any paperwork-related assistance. The license application must be submitted to the Commonwealth of Virginia licensing board
  • Must provide all personal and professional information/documentation required for payor credentialing and successfully pass the credentialing process. Valid, state-issued medical license in good standing
